An industry-leading solution for total reward communications

To meet Asda's corporate value of ‘Caring for our colleagues’ and to help colleagues through the tough economic climate, AHC worked closely with Asda to develop a Total Package website and online Total Reward Statements. The main aim was to emphasise the total value of the benefits Asda provides to its colleagues, by making all of this information available in one easy-to-access place.

Asda's commitment to act on feedback from colleagues drove the development of a fully interactive online reward portal, as opposed to traditional printed statements. The online facility includes a data-linked, interactive share modeller (also linked to Walmart’s current share price) and provides an annual summary of benefits including colleagues’ pension, shares, pay, bonus, healthcare and even discount savings.

This industry-leading solution has set Asda apart from other employers and the Total Reward Statements have been highly commended by the industry for their innovative and engaging design.

Objectives

Objective 1: To increase the number of visitors from 3,000 to 6,000 colleagues.
Result: Exceeded – the Total Package website attracted 7,614 Asda colleagues spending an average of seven minutes viewing benefits in its first year. A 425% uplift compared with the previous online facility. The website is now regularly visited by up to 9,000 colleagues.

Objective 2: To remove the need for paper payslips by integrating them into the Total Package website and preventing the need for multiple logins.
Result: Achieved – the Total Package website uses Single Sign On to enable colleagues to view their latest payslip, historic payslips and P60s.
